How my journey began

I’m Suraiya — Miss Fix It.

Six years ago, nursing school and I parted ways.

At 21 and done playing it safe, I booked a one-way flight to Toronto with $200 and zero plan beyond "figure it out."

I waited tables knowing nothing about wine. I survived a hair salon run by genuinely the worst boss I've ever had.

Then the world shut down. Everyone else hit pause — I decided to pivot.

I entered my ramen-noodle era and hustled through anything that paid: content creation, social media, $5 haircuts in a basketball court, even flipping Pokémon cards chasing a perfect PSA 10.

Somewhere in all that chaos, it clicked. The messy, behind-the-scenes problems everyone else avoids? Fixing those is what lights me up.

Systems. Workflows. Operations.

Every time someone said "there's no solution," I built one.

That's how Miss Fix It was born — out of grit, stubbornness, and deciding my life wasn't going to fall apart without a fight.

Now I fix the operational messes holding businesses back.
